Finding freedom from Distortion, Defiled Discernment, and Targets
Often when my mind continues to swirl in negative thought patterns I’ve learned to ask God for clarity of what’s going on… Doing deliverances most weekdays also has helped because sometimes it’s easier to see in others what is very subtle or a blind spot in our own lives… this concept of distortion began to emerge in my mind this way…
Distortion
I’ve come to believe that some of the most powerful relationships and kingdom alliances are hit with distortion… call it Leviathan if you will but today I want to focus simply one the one concept that the enemy uses circumstances, and warps them in our minds in order to create a false reality that if he can lure us in, begins to roll around like a constant bombardment in our minds whenever the topic of a certain person or subject comes up.. This may or may not come along with offence, unforgiveness, or bitter root judgments but it comes often when there has been a lack of expectations met or on the contrary when we feel intimidated by or insecure around someone. Distortion can come in to operate to create a false reality that keeps the kingdom relationship from flourishing…
Distorted perspectives can come in such a way as to make Pharisees see Jesus as demonized, it can make us run from the very person God designated to be helpful in our lives and to partner with us to see numerous others impacted or set free… I wonder too if distortion was part of what operated in the relationship between Paul, and Barnabus in Acts15. I believe it is what Jesus referred to many times “having eyes they do not see…” Mark 8:18 In many cases it may partner with religious spirits. I discern this spirit by physically feeling pressure on the sides of my temples much like a tight thick pair of sunglasses would make if they were on..
In the case of distortion, it can be prayed off. If a person is walking in it themselves and they feel a swarm of negativity towards another Christian, repent of partnering with any accusing thoughts and any distortions. Ask Holy Spirit for the grace to see the person the way God sees them and for His mercy to cleanse your eyes and your negative perceptions. Command all distorting spirits off and look to see how God wants you to see yourself and if distortion has entered in there. Coming into God’s presence and asking to see with His eyes and heart helps. Today in the natural I'm getting new glasses. It feels appropriate for the release of this article. Defiled Discernment
Relationships are just one way distortions can operate… Distortions can also operate in all the areas of discernment by the psychic realm being opened whether generational or in your current life, through witchcraft... |I first heard of this concept from a video from Arthur Burk on druidism. No doubt certain cultures have worked harder at opening the seer realm and the gifts of discerning through means of witchcraft and idol worship that open doors to such distortion in the gifts of discernment that they begin to attract all sorts of negative warfare to themselves… When there has been an intentional attempt to have this gifting (although distorted and spiritually illegal in many cases) passed down through generations it opens doors generationally. While I greatly value the use of all the senses in the gifts of discerning, I see people regularly come who are hiding their gifting or being drugged by doctors and psychologists because the amount of witchcraft distortions in their gift drive them crazy…. Many have been told they have mental health issues. Although repenting of generational witchcraft, idolatry and misuse of the gifts can help, there needs to be a repentance of the illegal access to the giftings through witchcraft etc. and a cleaning off of the gifts and any psychic doorways that were opened. I will often have someone pray over their gifts asking God to close any ungodly doors that were opened generationally and open up the godly doors over each of their senses and gifts.. Frequently we will anoint their forehead with oil as we do this.. The beauty of the change I have seen in people’s seer gift especially is wonderful. Instead of being tormented by seeing monsters and demons they frequently begin to see more angels, walk in less fear, and the demonic that they do see is usually scared of them, not frightening them. I believe there are very highly gifted people drugged and in mental institutes who need generational witchcraft cleaned off. Often individuals who have a psychic door opened will also walk with a lot of foreboding in their lives, seeing many things as bad omens and interpreting the demonic messages, dreams and signs as from God. This is a spirit of fear and foreboding…God has not given us a spirit of fear. He does warn us at times... but it feels distinctly different. Having this kind of constant fear and worry in your life activates a kind of partnership with the enemy to bring negative things into your life through believing the lies... It’s an ungodly faith in a sense that he uses to take advantage of God’s people…Some people may call this the law of attraction. I believe it is the way God designed for faith to work. It brings things into reality…. “Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for.” Hebrews 11:1 TPT Faith can partner with heaven or be misused by Hell. The key is to repent of partnering with the enemies lies and cleanse off those psychic doorways with the blood of Jesus. Sorry no. Sage, smudging, and crystals won’t do it for you. nothing but the blood sacrifice of Jesus. ( There is a strong distortion that happens to the voice of the Lord through a religious spirit or victim too but that is for another article)
Targets
I first started discerning targets on people who had been abused sexually and through SRA. In my mind as I did the deliverance, I could sense it. Holy Spirit would often show it to me like a red and white bullseye. Often these individuals will casually say “I feel like I have a target on my back” not realizing it is a spiritual reality… Job 16:12 says “I was in peace and he has shattered me He has seized me by the neck and crushed me. He has made me his target. His archers surround me….” I ‘m sure I have more to learn about this but I will share what I currently have discerned.
The targets often seem connected by roots, tentacles or other things emerging from the back of the target into their person they are attached to. They may be demonic tentacles like an octopus spirit. People who have had these targets on them say that they attract unusual attention in the area of the target. For instance, if it’s a sexual target, complete strangers will come to them frequently with sexual offers, comments and remarks. They have a hard time getting away from this kind of attention and it is very regular for them to be approached like this. Targets may also attract witchcraft. I’ve seen this more when I’ve sensed generational witchcraft. There will be strange spiritual offers, comments on their “Gifting” or things on the internet almost seeming to pursue them… The good news is these targets can be broken off and uprooted… After cleaning of the psychic doorway and a target or two of one individual they happily declared that they were suddenly attracting kind and “normal people “instead.
Although each individual case is different and needs discernment, in general you can ask Holy Spirit to come and remove any targets and uproots any attachment, tentacles or other wiring. Release generational repentance and forgiveness where necessary. There may be spirits that need to be commanded off especially any that are operating sexually like pornography, masturbation, or other addictions like addictions to tarot cards etc.… Repent and renounce these things. It may also be necessary to deal with soul ties with any abusers, land, time or places at this point.
